VersionOne State of Agile 2017: Ledelsen spiller fortsat en helt afgørende rolle i udbredelsen af Agile

Scrum relativt simple ud. Teams på typisk 6-9 medarbejdere arbejder samme i to-tre uger. Ved afslutning af perioden holder teamet et

Can Agile Help Us Reinvent Organizations?

In two recent posts on the history of organizational development, I discussed Taylorism and the need for a new leadership paradigm, and the five levels of organizational consciousness discussed by Frederic Laloux in his book Reinventing Organizations. In this post, I will follow-up by discussing how Agile values and practices fit with the Evolutionary-Teal paradigm, which, according to Laloux, is the most recent and advanced stage of organizational consciousness. To summarize, the Evolutionary-Teal paradigm is based on an evolutionary world

Reinventing Organizations – In Search of a New Leadership Paradigm

In my previous post, After 100 Years of Taylorism, We Need a New Leadership Paradigm, I discussed why Frederick Winslow Taylor’s scientific management paradigm is no longer a winning strategy in today’s world. In this post, I want to put Taylor’s thinking into an evolutionary perspective by discussing the recent book Reinventing Organizations by Belgian consultant Frederic Laloux. In Reinventing Organizations, Laloux discusses how with every new stage in human consciousness also came a breakthrough in our ability to collaborate,

After 100 Years of Taylorism, We Need a New Leadership Paradigm

100 years ago, in 1915, Frederick Winslow Taylor, one of the most influential management thinkers in history, passed away at the age of 59. In 1911, four years prior to his death, Taylor published his famous book The Principles of Scientific Management, which still influences the way we teach and practice management today. Taylor believed that applying a scientific method to managing workers could greatly improve productivity. The worker was taken for granted as a cog in the machinery and
